To Baguio with my folding bike

Biking have been added to my hobby and activity. Last November, I went to Baguio city with my brompton folding bike. Folding bike is allowed to put inside the bus (passenger seat) when its not full, i tried this on Genesis bus lines.

I arrived at Baguio city 4am in the morning on November 24, 2010. I first stop by at Dunkin Donuts to drink hot coffee cause 4am in Baguio is really freezing cold. While waiting for the sunset, a lot of people staring at my folding bike, but I knew that there is one person in Baguio who owns same folding bike as mine, maybe people in Baguio still doesn't aware of folding bikes.

After drinking, I unfold and setup my bike and start biking around Baguio. The wind is freezing cold while biking, but I can say that it is one great experience to be biking in Baguio city. Folding bikers out there should try biking around Baguio too, Its a lot different from biking in Manila.

The 2nd place visited was APTS in Ambuklao road, and rode my bike downhill, the experience was unexplainable but its a little bit dangerous when biking downhill specially from Ambuklao road because of the steepness. So be very careful when biking downhill from Ambuklao. After that I bike straight to the Mansion and Mine's view to take some photo of the view with my folding bike.

After that I bike straight ahead to the botanical garden and ate my lunch at the 50's Diners, one of the best restaurant in Baguio city. If you haven't tried 50's Diners, you may want to visit there when you got to Baguio. Their food is worth the price
My last destination is Burnham Park. While riding on my foldie, the security guard stopped me from entering the park, he said that bikes are not allowed inside the park, so I've got no choice and fold it in front of him. While folding my bike, he start smiling and saying good things about the bike, and asked me where to buy one, fortunately the smiling security guard let me pass the Burnham Park and spend the rest of my time in the park while I wait for the next trip of the Genesis Bus lines going back to Manila.

My 2010 Adventures

An overview of my adventures for 2010. I thank God for His faithfulness for 2010 that He gave me the chance to climb mountains again for His protection and guidance and also got the chance to visit Batanes, the place I really wanted to visit.
My first climb last year was Mt. Pulag together with my friends and friend of friends February 2010. This was also the first time I led a big group of people to the 3rd highest peak of the country. Thanks God and it was a successful and happy climb.
Mt. Manabu on the month of March with Gideon Lasco located in Sto. Thomas, Batangas.
On the month of May last year for the second time to climb Mt. Pulag for year 2010. 26 climbers joined the climb which I organized. Met new friends and fellows with the same interest to climb.
And for the month of June 2010, I was really blessed to visit the northern most part of the country for 5 days which is Batanes. One of my unforgettable travel, a must visit destination for all the travelers out there.
Organized a climb theme "Climb 4 Change" September 2010, just a week after the national election, 28 participants joined the climb, a dayhike climb to Mt. Batulao was our simple way to let the people know that we want to have a change for our country.
Last October 2010 was my first time to guide 6 Australian friends. They informed me 2 days before the climb, good thing I wasn't busy that time and grab the chance to accompany and guide them to one of the famous mountain in Batangas, Mt. Maculot.
My last travel for 2010 was in Baguio with my Brompton folding bike, the temperature was cold. I rode a bus with my foldie inside passenger seat beacause folding bikes are allowed inside the bus. By the way, biking was added to my activity and will have a lot this 2011.
